Swedish furniture manufacturer, Mitab will present the Montmartre collection by Jonas Wagell, for the first time in the UK. The Montmartre series is an update on the simple, functional furniture of Parisian street cafes. The products embrace the legacy of traditional furniture manufacture, while the surprising use of steel tubes instead of bentwood, give them a playful expression. The product range was initially introduced with a stacking armchair and a small round table, followed by three sizes of low lounge table. The family will further expand to include a barstool and bar table.
Jonas Wagell is one of the most exciting names to emerge on the Scandinavian design scene in recent years. An architect and designer, based in Stockholm, Wallpaper* named him one of “The World's 50 Hottest Young Architects” and his Mini House concept was awarded the “Innovation award“ by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in the UK.
