Wafer Chair by Monica Armani
Wafer is a stackable chair designed by Monica Armani. The design reinterprets the traditional solid wood workmanship combined with modern technology of thermoforming and moulding of the upholstered components using Wood-Stock, an innovative material used largely in the automotive industry, that is completely recyclable and ecological. Infact, the upholstered seating and back are manufactured by means of a single mould operation which furthermore allows combining the two fundamental factors for a chair: the seating softness and chair lightness.
Wafer comes with an open grain lacquer finish, grey oak, dark oak, wenge and American walnut. The seat and back are upholstered in a dedicated range of ecological fabrics and leathers. The fabrics and ecologicial leathers used are all stain resistant and suitable for superficial cleaning.
