Arper renovated corporate communication wins its first iF Communication Award

Arper corporate identity has won the iF communication design award 2012: an internationally recognized label and a symbol for outstanding achievements in design.
The international jury, consisting in experts and renowned designers, awarded Arper with the prestigious German prize, for the first time in the “print media - corporate communication” category.
The project was carried out by the New York design firm 2X4 in collaboration with the studio Lievore Altherr Molina and Arper internal design team. It entailed the updating of all communication materials, and involved an evolution of the company’s brand language and corresponding graphic identity.
The goal was to extend Arper key values (synthesis, harmony, systematic formal rigor and customization, colour, play and a mindfulness toward the environment) from product design to an integrated corporate communication system.
The new graphic language is aesthetically pure, refined, playful and pragmatic and broadcasts a unified, coherent and inspired message. It uses the building blocks of historical modernism, in a bold, contemporary way, creating a clear and stable frame to feature a lyrical, informative narrative about Arper products and culture.
Photography created by Scheltens & Abbenes helps to articulate this message. These still-life images describe the design systems, modularity, diversity of options, and ethos inherent in the form of each product collection.
Thanks to this award, the project will be on display at the iF design exhibition in Hannover and Hamburg, at the multi-media exhibition in the city of Haikou (China) and at the iF online exhibition (starting February 2012). The awards night will be held on 10th February at BMW World in Munich.
