FIRA welcomes hm63 to the FIRA Showcase

FIRA is pleased to announce the most recent addition to the FIRA Innovation Showcase – the new hm63 seating design from Hitch Mylius.

The FIRA Innovation Showcase offers a unique platform for furniture designers and manufactures to display innovative new furniture products. The Showcase is visited by hundreds of furniture industry professionals on a monthly basis as they visit the headquarters of the Furniture Industry Research Association in Stevenage.
The latest item to be displayed on the showcase is an hm63 seating unit from Hitch Mylius, designed by Nigel Coates. The hm63 chair is part of a new family of upholstered seating which features low, pebble-like units that can be laid out in structured patterns. The chairs can be used either individually or scattered throughout a space to provide organic seating arrangements.

Robin Phillips, of Hitch Mylius said, “We are very happy to have hm63 on display as part of the FIRA Innovation Showcase. Each of the three elements of the hm63 collection is generously proportioned and can be specified with or without a backrest. The adaptability of the product offers a variety of uses for both public and private spaces. We began working with Nigel Coates in 1994 and his Oxo seating range that we launched in 1998 is a consistent bestseller and is still in production today.”
Products displayed as part of the FIRA Innovation Showcase are put on display for four months and are accompanied by an information panel about the product. The Showcase offers a unique opportunity to gain extra media coverage when launching new products, as well as a way to display the product to others within the furniture industry.

  1. It's the first time. Yes. It is a perfect design. Is smooth. In my eyes. And I can make changes as needed.
