CREATIF - CIRRUS INTERIOR SAILS
Cirrus sails can be used to create fluid sculptural forms to act as dramatic focal points with the added benefits of acoustic control, sunscreening and protection from the elements.
Our specialist fabrics enable Cirrus sails to be used in vertical or horizontal planes, or twisted into exciting and novel forms. You can use Cirrus sails singly or in multiple configurations, and they offer a subtle alternative to traditional partitioning for spatial division.
Made in the UK, Cirrus Interior Sails are available in standard shapes and sizes and a choice of over 20 special order colours. Cirrus Interior Sails are made from a special fabric containing Lycra which is inherently fire retardant and flexible, allowing it to stretchup to 30% in any direction, making installation incredibly simple – decide on your fixing points, stretch the sail into position and hook the integral silicone loops onto your fixings.
These sails are designed to last and can be taken down and popped into a washing machine; the quick-drying fabric means the sail can be reinstalled straight from the spin cycle.
Full instructions and fixings are suppliedwith each sail.

HI-MACS - Torre de Cristal
The 50th floor was designed as a polyvalent space for use by all offices occupying the building that are distributed over its 52 floors.
It is a privileged area boasting the latest, most up-to-date audiovisual and IT technologies on the market.
‘Torre de Cristal’ is the second highest building in Spain. It is located in the Cuatro Torres Business Área (Four Towers Business Area), the capital’s new financial sector situated to the North of the Paseo de la Castellana.
The architect responsible for designing the Glass Tower is César Pelli, who was also responsible for designing Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, a national symbol of Malaysia.
The interiors of the 249 metre-high skyscrapers are designed by Joaquin Torres and his partner, Rafael Llamazares. In these towers, A-cero used all available resources to satisfy its clients.
The office block’s public rooms follow a common theme with a clean, modern design creating an elegant, sophisticated and functional environment. The continuous round space was designed by A-cero to match the “sculpted diamond” which, according to Pelli himself, is an attempt to portray a sense of reality through its Crystal Tower.
The company responsible for choosing most of the furniture was Candida Hermida, which followed A-Cero's designs using 9 and 12 mm-thick HI-MACS® Alpine White and 12 mm Black for some of its items.
This required the use of 152 sheets of HI-MACS® and a total surface area of 425.11 m2. HI-MACS® hardness and resistance stands up to the constant daily use of the furniture.
The 14-metre long conference table is a prominent item due to its size, design and incorporation of an automatic screen-raising system that emerges from under the table itself. Thanks to HI-MACS®, which enables parts to be joined together without any apparent joints, the table seems to be made out of a single block.
HI-MACS® is once again evident here in the furniture and floor. The executive director’s office has two tables made out of HI-MACS® Alpine White. Finally, we can appreciate HI-MACS® in some public areas of the offices such as bathrooms (countertops and accessories), the office, and on signs found in the office and distribution area (ancillary equipment and table).
The Glass Tower project is another real example of the endless possibilities offered by HI-MACS® design and applications for the most innovative and state-of-the-art buildings.

Ralph Capper Interiors
This year has been a great success for our business. We have won competitive tenders to supply high profile projects such as Peninsula Business Services: 7 floors of furniture for over 600 staff, Manchester Airport Escape Lounge T1: Iconic Furniture and Lighting for an exclusive private passenger lounge, Manchester United Football Club Executive Boxes: Furniture and lighting supply to the most opulent / hi-tech boxes yet at the stadium, University of Lancaster LICA Building: Complete supply of all furniture to this state of the art cutting-edge new-build, University of York: Complete supply of all furniture to library building refurbishment.
Based on the success of the last 12 months and the quality of the projects we have won and delivered, we entered our company for the sought-after industry award ‘ MIXOLOGY NORTH COMPANY OF THE YEAR 2010’ and in acknowledgement of our 35 year anniversary, we took the entire team along including (now retired) Ralph and Susan Capper to the Awards Evening at The Palace Hotel Manchester on Thursday 25th November. In front of over 500 industry colleagues, competitors and professionals we succeeded in winning this prestigious award. The presenter read out the following to the sell-out crowd:
‘Our final award of the evening is the Company of the Year.
We have been genuinely impressed by the standard of entries we have received for these awards.
Of course the quality of presentation of an award entry is far from the be all and end all of our judges decision-making process.
One entry however, stood out for us in terms of presentation and also content.
The Mix Interiors Company of the year award winner is, this month, celebrating its 35th anniversary
Back in November 1975 our winning company’s founder, having already established himself firmly in the North West as Northern Sales Manager for Hille International, formed what was to become an institution in Manchester and the North West, and a name synonymous with high quality furniture.
Today the company is confounding the economic climate and continues to flourish. In fact it has. this year ,been involved in a number of the biggest and most prestigious projects in the region, including the Peninsular Project, the Escape Lounge at Manchester Airport, Lancaster University and Manchester United Football Club
The company was founded by a great man called Ralph, who we’re delighted to say is here tonight. Today it is run by Ralph’s son Ben, with exactly the same passion, expertise, integrity and honesty.
Mix Interiors Company of the Year 2010 is….
RALPH CAPPER INTERIORS
We are absolutely overwhelmed by the award, the awards evening and the response we have had from family, friends, associates, clients and suppliers. The evening was an real celebration for our team – in addition The Peninsula Project won ‘COMMERCIAL PROJECT OF THE YEAR AWARD’ for the interior design team we worked with ID:SR.
ID:SR also scooped the award of DESIGN PRACTICE OF THE YEAR 2010.

Best of the Sledge’s

Thonet S333
Sleigh riding fun for the entire family. The form and materials of this sledge are reduced to an absolute minimum. The skids and seat frame are produced from a single bent stainless steel tube. It has excellent sledding properties, runs perfectly straight, has optimal gliding properties and is easy to steer. The cantilever seat frame acts as a shock absorber and counteracts any unevenness on the slope. A robust weather-resistant mesh is stretched on it. For transport, several sledges can be stacked, and when walking it can be carried like a backpack.
Stainless steel honed frame, plastic mesh in silver, havana or black. Black textile leash with Thonet logo. The dimensions are oriented towards modern racing sledges.
