I am a creative, hardworking and dependable individual, with a passion for design and making fine furniture. I have good independent and team working skills and am able to produce work of the highest accuracy and quality.

BA (Hons) Furniture Design and Craft
First Class Honours
Specialist skills in furniture design and making including; fine woodworking, wood machining, veneering, laminating, steam bending and spray finishing.
Additional skills in metal working, upholstery, model making, technical drawing and CAD. I am able to take projects from the initial design and development stages to a final outcome. My dissertation research study explored Sustainable Furniture Manufacturing.

Winner of the 2010 Kinnarps Award. I was invited to Kinnarps headquarters
and central production facilities in Sweden where I presented my winning
design to the R&D director.
Work Experience
July 2007 Chamber Furniture
This gave me an opportunity to work at a bespoke furniture manufacturing
company. Activities included: design, manufacture and installation.
Relevant Skills
Technical: Proficient in Auto CAD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and most office software packages. Experience of Rhino and 3D Studios Max.
Practical: In depth knowledge and understanding of a variety of processes and materials acquired through hands on experience. I am able to work from drawings and produce precision made furniture to exacting standards.
Problem Solving: Good ability to overcome the challenges often involved in the design and making process. I enjoy finding innovative solutions to achieve a successful outcome.
Team Working: Throughout my course I have taken part in group projects where listening to other viewpoints, contributing ideas and sharing responsibilities is important. This has included participating in steam bending projects and taking part in a team building week in the Lake District. I was also one of the team members creating the degree show and New Designers exhibitions.
Time Management: I have met all deadlines throughout my course and manage my time efficiently and effectively. I am also self‐motivated, reliable and have good organisational skills.

Guitar ‐ Grade 5 with Merit awarded by the Trinity/Guildhall Board of Music, July 2008
