Superbrands London

Superbrands London is a new business design event from Tent Exhibitions, further developing Tent London’s position as a major design hub during the London Design Festival. Superbrands London is curated and designed by MVDW Ltd, a young British design-marketing consultancy founded by Mirko van den Winkel.

Tent London initiated Superbrands London to provide international design-brands with a new and exciting place to exhibit during the London Design Festival. Many of the brands exhibiting, from the UK, Europe and the USA are new to the London Design Festival or returning after considerable absence.

Interstuhl plans 20% growth

German chair manufacturer Interstuhl plans to reach a turnover of EUR 122 million this year. Compared with the EUR 102 million of last year, this would amount to 20% growth. It would bring Interstuhl back to the pre-crisis levels; turnover in 2008 amounted to EUR 116 million (2009: EUR 91 million).
Interstuhl would like to achieve this growth mostly abroad, by increasing its share of export in the total turnover from the current 38% to over 50%. 600 employees produce 950,000 chairs annually. With 7 daughter companies and 40 partner companies, Interstuhl would like to become one of the leading European office chair manufacturers.

Thats right, it's time for Paris again and SCP have got some exciting new products to exhibit this September including a number of brand new products exclusive to Maison & Objet. Faudet-Harrison have designed their first piece for SCP in the form of Kenneth, a compact armchair. They have a new coat rack designed by Gareth Neal available in pale green or grey. And for fans of their original textiles range, Nos Da, designed by Donna Wilson , they are presenting two new seasonal colourways, Blue Moon and Coral Almond.
